Grace and Emmanuel Lutheran Church Building Use Policies:

Grace and Emmanuel Lutheran Churches invite members and non-members to use church facilities for special events such as funerals, weddings, and anniversaries, and are happy to make facilities available to the community for meetings and/or conferences. Please review our fees and policies here and then contact the church office at 320-245-2449 to make arrangements for your event.


MEMBER WEDDING:

  • Use of church - no charge

  • Pastor Honorarium - $275

  • Custodial Fee - $75

  • Food Service (catering to be done off site unless special arrangements are made with Paster and the Women of the ELCA group):

    • On-site Options:

      • Church serves (wedding party provides food ready to serve):

        • Choice 1: Full meal - $3/plate

        • Choice 2: Sandwiches, cake, and drinks - $2.50/plate

        • Choice 3: Cake and drinks - $2/plate

      • Church supervises kitchen only (wedding party provides food and servers)

        • $10/hour; $30 minimum

  • Organist - negotiate with organist

  • Damage Deposit (refundable) - $100 recommended

Non-member Wedding

  • Use of church - $200

  • Pastor (honorarium) - $325

  • Custodial Fee - $75

  • Food Service (catering to be done off site unless special arrangements are made with Paster and the Women of the ELCA group):

      • Church serves (wedding party provides food ready to serve):

        • Choice 1: Full meal - $5/plate

        • Choice 2: Sandwiches, cake, and drinks - $4/plate

        • Choice 3: Cake and drinks - $3/plate

      • Church supervises kitchen only (wedding party provides food and servers)

        • $10/hour; $30 minimum

  • Organist - negotiate with organist

  • Damage Deposit (refundable) - $100 recommended


Member Funeral:

  • Use of Church - no charge

  • Pastor Honorarium - $225

  • Custodial Fee - $50

  • Food service options:

    • Church provides bars, beverages, set-up, and clean-up - $100

    • Catering Suggestions:

      • Chris’ Food Center (Sandstone)

      • Daggett’s Fresh Foods (Hinckley)

  • Organist - $100

  • Coordinator (if Funeral Director is not present) - $50

Non-member Funeral:

  • Use of church - $50

  • Pastor (honorarium) - $275

  • Custodial Fee - $50

  • Food service options:

    • Church provides bars, beverages, set-up, and clean-up - $125

    • Catering Suggestions:

      • Chris’ Food Center (Sandstone)

      • Daggett’s Fresh Foods (Hinckley)

  • Organist - $100

  • Coordinator (if Funeral Director is not present) - $100


For all non-church use of facilities, a negotiable custodial fee may be charged depending on the scale and circumstances of the event.

No rental charge is made if a member of Grace Lutheran is present and a part of the planning group.

For other uses of the church’s facilities by non-members, there is a $100 rental fee for use of the church, and a $10.00 per hour ($30.00 minimum) fee to have a member of Grace present during the event.
